We regret to announce the death of Cécile Chiniec on Friday, February 24 at Extendicare Kapuskasing at the age of 89. She is survived by five children, Yvon, Yves, Marthe Blais wife of Robert, Diane Gagnon wife of Louis and Rose Chiniec all of Kapuskasing, one sister, Rolande Boileau of Laval, one brother, Lauréat Ouellet of Kapuskasing as well as eight grandchildren, Jason, Michael, James, Jody, Charlene, Kevin, Bobby and Kurtis, eleven great-grandchildren, Josée, Martin, Steve, Eric, Jason, Amy, Isaak, Kody, Isabelle, Jessica and Amanda. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael, one son, Roger, seven brothers, Robert, Simon, Gérard, Narcisse, Henri, Jean-Guy and Yves, one sister, Yvonne Ouellet. Cécile Chiniec will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Monday from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at the Immaculée Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Spring burial to follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extendicare Kapuskasing Resident's Fund would be greatly appreciated.
